Sunset Cove Cottages Oceanfront Location

Sunset Cove Cottages has a wonderful central location for exploring all points on the Sunshine Coast. A short drive in either direction on the Sunshine Coast Highway brings you to stunning hiking and biking trails, parks, lakes, villages, museums and galleries.

From Vancouver, drive to the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal where you’ll take a picturesque 40-minute ferry ride to the Sunshine Coast. Once you arrive at the Langdale terminal on the other shore, follow the scenic Hwy. 101 (also called the Sunshine Coast Highway) for 50 km past Gibsons and through Roberts Creek, Sechelt and on to Secret Cove.

Go past both exits for Halfmoon Bay (Redrooffs Road and Halfmoon Bay main entrance) and continue along Highway 101 for approximately 8 km. Watch for the Sunset Cove sign on your left – that’s it! (Please be aware gate is only unlocked for registered visitors).

For more information on how to get to the Sunshine Coast, please visit for maps, bus and air info.

Sunset Cove is just one of the hundreds of small coves indenting the Sunshine Coast’s shoreline over its 86 km distance, but it’s a special one.

As soon as you turn off the Sunshine Coast Highway onto the long, winding driveway, there’s an immediate sense of calm and relaxation as you are drawn through the trees and down to the water’s edge.

Stop to hear the sound of the flowing creek coming from the mountains behind you into the bay below, and explore the ten acres and local wildlife that come to play in the cove.

Come for a day and you’ll want to stay for three, come for a week and you’ll want to live here forever.
